CHEYENNE — Crime has decreased by 20% in the city of Cheyenne during the first half of this year, compared with the same period in 2023, according to mid-year crime data from the Cheyenne Police Department.

“Through new crime prevention programs, outreach events and crime analysis, our agency is working closely with the public to deter criminal activity,” Cheyenne Police Chief Mark Francisco said. “As of right now, these tactics appear to be having a positive effect, and we will keep striving to finish the year strong.”
