Pancake breakfast serves more than 5,000 attendees

CHEYENNE — Larry Barttelbort arrived at the Cheyenne Depot Plaza at 5:45 Monday morning, along with around 200 other volunteers.

Over the next three hours, Barttelbort and the other volunteers served thousands of pancakes to thousands of people. He has been doing this every year for about 30 years as a member of the Cheyenne Kiwanis Club, and says it’s because he loves supporting the event and giving back to the community.
