(670 The Score) Before taking a snap in the NFL, Bears rookie quarterback Caleb Williams set a lofty goal of winning eight Super Bowl championships – one more than the great Tom Brady, who has won more titles than any individual franchise in football.

Over the weekend, Williams and a few of his fellow NFL rookies had the opportunity to meet with Brady and hear a message from him, rapper Jay-Z and billionaire Fanatics founder Michael Rubin.

Brady’s message was shared on social media by Rubin, and it was one that could resonate with Williams.

“When you have 53 guys on the team, you (cannot) think it’s about you,” Brady said. “It ain’t about you. It’s about us. And the biggest problem I see with a lot of the young players today, you guys are making it too much about ‘I’ and ‘me’ because of social media, because of branding and all of that. It’s fine, (but) you’re not going to win. There was a difference between being a star and being a champion.

“Every day of practice is important. You know why? Because when I was on the Patriots and we had 20 years of winning, every day was a big day. I treated a preseason game, I treated a regular-season game like it was the Super Bowl. So, when I got to the Super Bowl, it was just another day for me.”

Jay-Z shared his own message to the group.

“Your talent gets you there,” he said. “Your work ethic and your discipline takes you to where you want to be.”

Williams returned to Lake Forest this week as the Bears opened OTAs at Halas Hall.
