Bears' Montez Sweat and Nate Davis Sit Out Team Drills in Minicamp

The Chicago Bears began the veteran minicamp at Halas Hall this week and the first practice was a raging success. Caleb Williams dazzled with several well-placed throws , while linemen Montez Sweat and Nate Davis sat out team drills.

Bears First Minicamp Practice Concludes

Kevin Fishbain of the Athletic reported the Bears' first practice at Halas Hall included the full roster.

However, veteran linemen Montez Sweat and Nate Davis did not participate in team drills. The pair opted not to practice in these drills, dealing with their respective ailments. But head coach Matt Eberflus did express optimism about Montez Sweat's timeline for a return.

The Chicago Bears continue minicamp this week through Thursday, June 6.
