The Chicago Bears' mandatory minicamp concluded on Thursday. Veterans like Montez Sweat and Nate Davis took rest while participating in some drills while others worked on shaking off the rust. One of the Bears' newest wide receivers, Keenan Allen, expressed his desire to play as long as he can and said he'd be open to an extension with Chicago.

Keenan Allen Extension with the Bears?

For years, Keenan Allen has been terrorizing opposing secondaries. The 11-year veteran voiced to Chicago media that he intends on playing as long as possible.

The Bears haven't rostered a perennial Pro Bowl-caliber wide receiver for many years, and inking Allen to a longer deal could be beneficial.

Alongside a rising star at quarterback in Caleb Williams and potentially the best receiver in the 2024 NFL Draft class in Rome Odunze, Allen could play a crucial role in the Bears' future. His leadership, skills, and attention to detail could provide the Bears with something they desperately need at the position: consistency.
