Chicago Bulls' Hall of Famer Chet Walker Passes Away at 84

Basketball Hall of Fame member, NBA champion, and seven-time All-Star Chet Walker passed away at the age of 84, as reported by Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

Walker found initial NBA success as a member of the Syracuse Nationals/Philadelphia 76ers franchise, earning three of his seven All-Star selections in addition to winning the 1967 NBA Championship. Walker joined the Chicago Bulls franchise starting with the 1969-70 NBA regular season.

In his six seasons with the Bulls, Chet Walker formed a successful core with Bob Love, Jerry Sloan, and Norm Van Lier, which brought the first era of deep NBA playoff success to the Bulls. Walker contributed 19 points, five rebounds, and two assists per game on 53% shooting in the Bulls' back-to-back Western Conference Finals appearances in 1974 and 1975 .

Walker retired as a Bull following the 1974-75 NBA regular season. He was inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in 2012 and was recently selected as a member of the inaugural Chicago Bulls' Ring of Honor class .
