Angel Reese Makes WNBA History Against Minnesota Lynx

Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese has officially made WNBA history, surpassing Hall of Famer Candace Parker for the most consecutive double-doubles in a season, per StatMamba on X.

Reese has recorded 10 straight double-doubles after getting into the double-digit scoring column in the fourth quarter against the Minnesota Lynx.

The rookie has seen some struggles. In the 70-62 loss against the Lynx, she shot 25% from the field (4-of-17). Reese finished the game with 10 points and 16 rebounds. Her name is now stamped in the WNBA record books for the most consecutive double-doubles.

The first-year star is the only rookie averaging a double-double, posting 13.5 points and 11.1 rebounds per game. She's tied with MVP frontrunner A'ja Wilson at the No. 1 slot in terms of average rebounds in the league.

Chicago's rookie also leads the league with a staggering 14.5 offensive rebound percentage, with the second player, Natasha Mack, listed at 9.6%.

Parker held the previous record as she recorded nine straight double-doubles with the Los Angeles Sparks in 2015.

Reese has been a star for the Sky on both ends of the floor and has already cemented herself as one of the best players on the glass in the WNBA.
