(670 The Score) Big man Andre Drummond has found a new home.

Drummond will leave the Bulls and join the 76ers after agreeing to a two-year, $10-million deal with Philadelphia in free agency, Shams Charania of The Athletic reported Sunday evening. Drummond’s exit wasn’t a surprise, as it seemed likely that he’d look elsewhere and the Bulls have been tracking toward more of a youth movement lately.

Drummond, 30, was a productive player for Chicago in a reserve role the past two seasons. He averaged 8.4 points and 9.0 rebounds in 17.1 minutes across 79 games, including 10 starts, this past season. He’ll now return to a role he’s familiar with in Philadelphia – backing up star center Joel Embiid. Drummond played 49 games for the 76ers in the 2021-’22 season before being traded to the Nets.

The 76ers tried to acquire Drummond at the trade deadline back in February, but a deal didn't come to fruition as the Bulls were seeking three second-round picks in those discussions, according to reports.

In the first hour since free agency officially opened Sunday evening, the Bulls were rather quiet. They continue to shop guard Zach LaVine on the trade market, and forward DeMar DeRozan’s future remains up in the air. The destination that star wing Paul George chooses in free agency could have an effect on the market for DeRozan and others. If George leaves the Clippers, they could become a destination for DeRozan.
