On Sunday, the opening of NBA free agency, now former Chicago Bulls center Andre Drummond alluded to signing with the Philadelphia 76ers via his social media.

Subsequently, Shams Charania of The Athletic reported that Andre Drummond signed a two-year contract with the Philadelphia 76ers.

Drummond spent two seasons as a reserve center on the Chicago Bulls and provided efficient scoring and rebounding as Nikola Vucevic's backup center, posting per-36-minutes averages of 17.4 points per game and 18.9 rebounds per game.

Drummond's departure was not unexpected, as there were reports of both a strong 2024 NBA trade deadline market for Drummond's services, in addition to multiple franchises that held interest in signing Drummond as a free agent acquisition in the 2024 NBA offseason.
