Chicago Sky Give Angel Reese New Nickname After Making WNBA All-Star Game

Angel Reese unlocked a new nickname on Tuesday.

After being named to the WNBA All-Star team, the Chicago Sky posted a message to social media calling Reese "All-Star Barbie."

At LSU, Reese gained the nickname "Bayou Barbie," and it's spawned other iterations, including " Team USA Barbie " after being named a member of the USA Women's 2023 AmeriCup Team and " Chi-Town Barbie " after being drafted by the Sky with the seventh overall pick of the 2024 WNBA Draft.

The rookie phenom has been outstanding in her first WNBA season, and she kept up her historic pace with another unbelievable performance on Tuesday.

Reese had 12 points and 19 rebounds in an 85-77 Sky win over the Dream.

The 2023 NCAA Tournament Most Outstanding Player was recently named the WNBA's Rookie of the Month for June after averaging 14.5 points and 13.2 rebounds per game.

She has 11 consecutive double-doubles, the most by a rookie in league history. Reese needs two more to pass Candace Parker for the most by any player in WNBA history.
