A photo provided by Chicago police shows Helms with a light beard, but it is unclear if he had one at the time of his disappearance.
81-year-old Lozie Helms, who was last seen in the 3800 block of South Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in the city’s Bronzeville neighborhood, has been missing since Monday, July 1.
Police say the missing man is known to use a dark-colored walker/wheelchair with maroon handles.
Helms was last seen wearing a black hat with a white symbol, a black jacket, a green t-shirt, white socks and gym shoes.
Authorities notified the public about the missing man’s disappearance in a news release sent out on Tuesday afternoon.
