Video Resurfaces Of Angel Reese Sharing Honest Thoughts On Teaming With Caitlin Clark

Few would argue that the budding rivalry between Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese and Indiana Fever point guard Caitlin Clark has been good for the WNBA.

And now that the two rookie phenoms will be teammates on the 12-person WNBA All-Star team, many have wondered if their on-court opposition of one another will affect their relationship during All-Star weekend.

Which is likely why an old video of Reese began circulating this week from October 2023 in which she shared her honest thoughts on potentially teaming up with Clark sometime in the future.

“I love Caitlin,” Reese said. “We’ve been competing since we were in AAU … It was always fun and always competitive. One day, hopefully, me and her can be teammates, because she is a great player and a great shooter and a great person and a great teammate.”

Clark acknowledged the buzz around her and Reese sharing a sideline during the All-Star game, but also pointed out she hopes the event doesn’t become about just the two of them.

“I don't think I've ever been her teammate before, even with USA Basketball or anything like that,” Clark said on Tuesday . “So, I know people are going to be really excited about it, but I hope it doesn't take away from everybody else.”
