On Friday night, Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky defeated Jewell Loyd and the Seattle Storm, 88-84. The Sky moved to 8-11 on the 2024 WNBA season while the Storm dropped to 13-7.

Reese had another productive night for Chicago. She scored 27 points on 8-of-13 shooting while also grabbing ten rebounds and recording two blocks. Chennedy Carter added 33 points for the Sky. Loyd struggled to get things going for Seattle, scoring just 13 points and missing all six of her three-point attempts.

During the game, the former LSU Tigers star broke her own WNBA personal record not once but twice. Coming into the game, Reese had yet to make a three-pointer. But against the Storm, she hit two of them. One came with 13 seconds left in the second quarter, and the other came with just over six minutes remaining in the fourth.

In total, Reese is now 2 of 6 on three-pointers for the season, jumping from 0% to 33.3% in a span of a couple of hours.

If Reese could add a consistent long-range shot to her repertoire, she would instantly become one of the scariest duel-threat players in the league.
