Weekend Break: North Branch Farmers Market

CHICAGO — WGN’s Angelica Sanchez takes you to North Branch Farmers Market in the city’s Edgebrook neighborhood for this Saturday’s edition of Weekend Break.

The North Branch Farmers Market brings together the Edgebrook, Sauganash, Wildwood and Forest Glen communities and is held every other Saturday. It aims to attract local business to Chicago’s far Northwest Side while also providing the area with fresh produce from unique small businesses.

Managed by a group of women who wanted to keep a farmer’s market presence in the area, the market has grown to 50 vendors offering a variety of products including flowers, jewelry and delicious meals. Visitors can enjoy live music and entertainment, and there’s a section to keep children occupied.
