CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Five people were wounded, including one in life-threatening condition, after a shooting overnight in North Lawndale, on the West Side.

They were standing outside, on the street and sidewalk, near 13th and Lawndale, police said, when multiple people got out of a silver car and began shooting before taking off.

It was about 12:20 a.m., and, when it was over, five people were wounded.

Police said four are in their 20s and a 62-year-old man was hit.  The most serious was a 25-year-old woman who was shot in the chest and went to the hospital initially in critical condition.

A 21-year-old man who was shot in the thigh refused treatment at the scene and walked away.

    No one is in custody.
