Sky Coach Teresa Weatherspoon Addresses Controversial Roster Decision With Blunt Two-Word Message

    By Grant Young,

Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky fell to 9-14 on the 2024 WNBA season after losing to the New York Liberty on Saturday.

This was the second time in three days that Chicago lost to New York.

And fans were upset about the playing time that star Sky guard Chennedy Carter received during the game.

Carter finished Saturday's contest with 7 points in just 16 minutes played.

Considering that Carter is averaging 16.9 points and 25.3 minutes per game this season, Saturday's sub-par performance was an outlier.

Carter did pick up a few early fouls, but only finished the game with 3. So that wasn't a major factor either.

Hence why fans were frustrated at Sky coach Teresa Weatherspoon regarding Carter's lack of playing time.

When Weatherspoon was asked about what went into Carter's lack of playing time during Chicago's postgame press conference, all Weatherspoon said was, "Chennedy's fine."

This lack of an adequate response was surely frustrating for fans to hear.

The Sky have some adjustments that must be made if they're to find their form after the Olympics break and earn themselves a position in the 2024 WNBA Playoffs.
