Incredible Stat Proves Angel Reese Could Make History for All the Wrong Reasons

Both Caitlin Clark of the Indiana Fever and Angel Reese of the Chicago Sky have continued to make history throughout the season, and that trend doesn't seem to be ending anytime soon. Clark had yet another historic week, and Reese extended her WNBA record double-double streak to 15 games before it came to an end against the New York Liberty.

Though this streak from Reese was incredible, it ended in an embarrassing fashion which led to Reese getting roasted online. Reese is now up to 16 double-doubles on the season, but it could lead to her making history in a negative way.

The fact that every rookie to finish with 15 or more double-doubles went on to win Rookie of the Year could be a good thing, however, it likely won't be the case for Reese. Despite Reese becoming the favorite for the award in many recent rankings, Clark has likely overtaken that status after her incredible week. This would make Reese the only player to notch this accomplishment and not win the award. Even so, it's an incredible achievement, and she should be very proud.
