Heading into Tuesday night's game against the reigning-champion Las Vegas Aces, Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese led the entire WNBA in rebounds per game.

But by the time the final whistle blew on the Sky's 93-85 victory over the Aces, Reese no longer held that title.

Despite recording yet another double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds, Reese dropped into second place in the WNBA rebounding standings.

WNBA MVP frontrunner A'ja Wilson recorded 14 rebounds and 28 points in Tuesday night's contest, reclaiming the league's No. 1 rebounding spot.

Wilson now holds a narrow lead with 12.0 rebounds per game, compared to Reese's 11.9 rebounds per game.

With this shift in standings, Indiana Fever All-Star Caitlin Clark is now the only rookie to lead the WNBA in a major statistical category — pacing the league with 7.8 assists per game.

Reese and Clark are locked in a battle for this year's WNBA Rookie of the Year trophy. Clark began the season as the overwhelming favorite to claim the rookie award, but Reese began to shrink the gap with her historic double-double streak.

But as the WNBA's month-long midseason break quickly approaches, Clark seems to be reclaiming a firmer grasp on the lead.

In addition to her league-leading assist numbers, Clark also ranks top 20 in every major statistical category.

Clark and the Fever will face off against the Dallas Wings on Wednesday night.
