    Mosley and Troy alum, Hartzog signed by White Sox

    PANAMA CITY, Fla. ( WMBB ) — Mosley and Troy alum, Clete Hartzog was signed by the Chicago White Sox.

    The right-handed pitcher signed a free-agent deal with Chicago.

    In his senior season at Troy, Hartzog had 57 strikeouts in 53.1 innings and finished with a 5.06 ERA.

    Hartzog spent his junior season at the University of Florida, where the Gators made it to the College World Series Championship Series. Before that, Hartzog spent three seasons at Wallace Dothan Community College. In 2022, Hartzog was named the Alabama Community College Conference pitcher of the year.

    Hartzog will leave for Pheonix, the home of the White Sox training facility on Friday morning.
