    Search underway for 13-year-old girl missing for over 2 weeks

    CHICAGO — Authorities in Chicago are asking the public for help in the search for a 13-year-old girl who officers say has been missing for over two weeks.

    According to Chicago police, 13-year-old Deangle Pruitt went missing from the 100 block of North Lacrosse Avenue, in the city’s Austin neighborhood, on Wednesday, July 3.

    Police say the missing teen, who stands 5 feet tall and weighs around 199 pounds, has black hair and brown eyes.

    13-year-old Deangle Pruitt went missing from the 100 block of North Lacrosse Avenue, in the city’s Austin neighborhood, on Wednesday, July 3, according to Chicago police.

    Authorities did not provide details on what the missing girl was last spotted wearing and officers say she may be in need of medical attention.

    Police notified the public about Pruitt’s disappearance in a news release sent out on Wednesday afternoon.
