Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese is now a few hours away from competing in her first every WNBA All-Star Game.

Fans are eager to find out whether Team WNBA can compete with the Team USA squad that will be heading to Paris in a few days' time.

Just one week ago, Reese's streak of 15 consecutive double-doubles came to an end against the New York Liberty. This streak set a WNBA record for the most consecutive double-doubles by any player.

Which is why it was surprising to hear Reese say that she was happy her streak came to end during an exclusive interview with ESPN that aired on Friday night.

The interview concluded with Reese being asked about the infamous quadruple-team she faced at the end of last Saturday's Liberty game.

"I already knew [the Liberty] wasn't going to let me get it," Reese said of the double-double streak.

"It's cool though. I'm happy," Reese added.

When the interviewer asked if she meant she's happy the streak is over, Reese said, "I'm happy it happened. I'm happy that I did what I did. I'm happy that it's over. And I can start a new streak."

    Reese currently has a one-game double-double streak.
