Aaron Rodgers owns the Bears once again and shows his connection to the Packers

Aaron Rodgers was traded from the Green Bay Packers to the New York Jets last year, but he will always have a strong connection to the team for whom he played 18 seasons — 15 of them as the starter. Rodgers went on the "Pardon My Take" podcast , which was released on Monday, and a little exchange with Chicago Bears fan Dan "Big Cat" Katz showed how he still loves the Packers.
Katz thanked Rodgers for not being in his life anymore — because he's playing in another division now. But the former Packer had the perfect answer.
"But then the Bears lost to J-Love and the Packers twice last year," Rodgers said, laughing.
"Yeah, I do," Rodgers said when asked if he thought Caleb Williams was a good quarterback. "I like (D'Andre) Swift, I like Keenan (Allen), I like the receiver from Washington (Rome Odunze), he's good. And then of course, you still got DJ (Moore). I think that team is almost good enough to beat the Packers. Almost good enough."
Even if Rodgers is on the Jets now, he said he still pays attention to what's happening in Green Bay.
"Oh my God, I love it," Rodgers said when asked if he still liked when the Packers won against the Bears.
During his time in Green Bay, Aaron Rodgers played the Chicago Bears 30 times — 29 regular season games and the NFC Championship Game after the 2010 season. The Packers won 25 times, including getting that trip to the Super Bowl, and lost five times. In these 30 games, Rodgers threw 64 touchdowns and 12 interceptions, with a 107.3 passer rating.
One of the most classic moments of the rivalry was in 2021, when Aaron Rodgers scored a rushing touchdown and screamed to Bears fans.
"I own you. I still own you. I've owned you all my f****** life."
The Jets almost played the Bears — and also the Packers — in 2024. Because of the 17th game, each AFC East team will face an NFC North team this season. However, the Jets were third in the division in 2023, so they will face the Minnesota Vikings , the third place in the NFC North. The game will be on October 6, in week 5, in London.
