According to Chicago police, officers were conducting a traffic stop just before 11:30 p.m. Monday in an alley in the 2500 block of West 46th Street on a suspected stolen black Dodge Durango. Police say the driver put the car in reverse, striking a squad car, then continued to flee down the alley, striking two more vehicles along with four female pedestrians.

Three adults were taken to area hospitals in good condition, according to police, and an 8-year-old was treated on scene by the Chicago Fire Department.

Police say one offender is in custody, and Area One detectives are investigating the incident.
