Andrew Funk, a former Penn State men’s basketball guard, was waived by the Chicago Bulls, the team announced Wednesday.

Funk signed a two-way contract with the Bulls in February after playing one season at Penn State. With the Nittany Lions, the 6’5″ guard led the Big Ten with 112 made three-pointers, scoring 12.5 points per game.

Following his stint in Happy Valley, Funk went undrafted in the 2023 NBA Draft but was picked up by the Denver Nuggets and appeared in four Summer League games. He went on to play for the Grand Rapids Gold, Denver’s G League affiliate, scoring over 13 points per game in 24 outings.

This summer, Funk scored 2.4 points per game on 16.7% field goal shooting with the Bulls before being sent back to free agency.
