The Chicago Bears let many fans down in the 2023 season with a disappointing record of 7-10. However, the Bears are now out of their den and currently hold the most potential to be one of the league’s most elite teams.

Although they have lost the mobility and flexibility of running quarterback Justin Fields, their picks in the draft and recent trades have certainly made up for it. The 2024 Bears now have one of the youngest teams in the NFL, allowing them to develop, mature, and excel over the next few seasons, soon giving them a chance to take over the NFC North.

Bears new offensive unit with 1st overall pick QB Caleb Williams, alongside WR DeAndre Carter, RB D'Andre Swift, and WR Kennan Allen will be the foundation of this up-and-coming team. With Swift's agility, Carter's speedy special team returns, William’s precision, and Allen's hands, returning players such as receiver DJ Moore and tight end Cole Kmet will no longer be left alone to move the sticks down the field.

Superstars Moore and Kmet will now be able to shape the team with Williams as he advances. Even though Williams is a rookie, his previous collegiate performance, leadership, and commitment is just what the Bears team has been searching for. This young dynamic offense will be the Bear's strongest weapon this season and will quickly turn them into an unstoppable force. William recently signed a 4 year contract which gives the Bears team the time to develop with and around him.

Defensively speaking, Jaylon Johnson, T.J. Edwards, Kyler Gordon, and Andrew Billings will remain holding down the Bears Defense. In addition to trades Jonathan Owens and Kevin Byard, as well as upcoming rookie such as Wisconsin linebacker Jack Sanborn the Bear's defense will be able to force stops and give the offense it's time to shine.

With the many returning key players and excellent new additions, the Bears have regathered themselves and will catch many by surprise in the 2024 season. The Bears will use their offseason training and the preseason to adjust to each other and come together as a whole.

During an interview with Colin Cowherd, Johnson referred to Williams as a “sponge”. He stated how well Williams has blended in with the team and that connection and maturity will only continue to grow. Kmet states his beliefs early on about how much progress Williams has already made during the off seasons. This support and excitement for an emerging rookie QB proves how much of an impact it will have this season and many to come on the team as a whole.

The Bears will hold the first preseason game at Soldier Field versus the Texans and will use this game as a way to see how they currently stand and what they will need to readjust before the official season. Although this adjustment might carry over into the season, if the Bears roster stays consistent for the next couple of seasons, we could be looking at new Super Bowl champions.
