The Bears are prepared to go all in during Caleb Williams' rookie window and the DJ Moore extension is just the start

It's clear the Chicago Bears have found their new franchise quarterback in Caleb Williams, before he even takes his first snap, and the front office is doing everything they can to maximize the next four years for the franchise.

On Tuesday, the Bears executed the first step of that plan by announcing a mammoth contract for wide receiver DJ Moore, making him the highest paid player in franchise history . The work is just getting started.

By extending Moore so early (with two years remaining on his current deal), the Bears front office went against the norm, proving they're eager to go all in with this roster.

Following Moore's four-year extension on top of his remaining two years, he's slated to remain with the team beyond Williams' rookie contract. The same goes for rookie first-round wide receiver Rome Odunze. That's already a lethal offensive trio by itself.

The next order of business for the Bears' front office will be working with veteran star Keenan Allen, who's entering the final year of his current deal he signed with the Los Angeles Chargers. The front office is willing to play it slow with Allen's deal, opting to first see him in action before locking him in as well.

If the Bears get his deal done, the entirety of the Bears offensive play-makers will be under contract for years to come. Tight end Cole Kmet signed a 4-year, $50 million deal last offseason, running back D'Andre Swift signed a 3-year deal in free agency, and wide receiver Tyler Scott is heading into his second year of his rookie deal .

That core has the potential to be among one of the best in the entire league and that's only looking at the offensive side of the ball. On defense, the Bears have already locked up Pro Bowlers Jaylon Johnson and Montez Sweat along with linebacker Tremaine Edmunds to huge deals while having multiple budding stars on rookie contracts.

All of this could be possible thanks to Williams rookie deal, which is only costing the team less than $13 million over each of the next four years, per Spotrac .

"Right now we're working with our head down and we're building," Williams said about the team back in June . "So just having that moment with myself, I do it every day. I sit there and I say, 'We're going to be pretty damn good.'"

The Bears believe with this team and Williams leading the way, this could soon turn into a championship level squad. And the organization is doing everything in their power to make that dream turn into a reality.

The window in Chicago starts now and remains open for the next three-four years until Williams is due for his next contract. While even that won't be the end all be all, expectations are about to get monumentally high for the Bears in the very near future.
