Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky are preparing for the second half of the 2024 WNBA season, awaiting the return of the United States women's basketball team that is competing in the Paris Olympics.

While Reese and the Sky were on the practice court on Thursday, the United States added to their Olympic medal earnings as gymnasts Simone Biles and Suni Lee secured gold and bronze medals in the individual All-Around Final.

On Friday, Lee took to social media to share her reaction to winning the fifth gold medal of her Olympic career at the Paris Games.

She mentioned that she's incredibly thankful for the support she has received throughout the Olympic process, while sharing a few pictures of herself posing with the bronze medal alongside Simone Biles and Brazil's Rebeca Andrade.

"From being told that I would never be able to do gymnastics again to winning my 5th Olympics medal!!!" said Lee... "Grateful for the opportunity to be able to represent team USA at my second olympic games! Thank you for all the support."

Reese then responded to Lee's post, sharing her support for the American gymnast.

"Proud of you queen," Reese said.

Suni Lee took home the bronze medal after earning a final score of 56.465. During the individual All-Around Final, she earned a score of 14.000 in the beam routine, 13.666 in the floor routine, 13.900 in the vault, and 14.866 in the uneven bars.

Reese has consistently shown support for Lee, Biles, and the rest of the United States gymnastics roster throughout the Paris Olympics.

The Sky rookie should also be proud of herself, as she's grown into one of the best players in the WNBA at just 22 years old.

Chicago's young star is averaging 13.5 points and 11.9 rebounds per game. She's averaging the second-most rebounds in the WNBA, only behind A'ja Wilson (12.0)

She's one of just two rookies who were selected to play in the 2024 WNBA All-Star game, alongside Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark. The two are currently neck-and-neck for the WNBA's Rookie of the Year award.

Clark averaged 17.1 points and a league-leading 8.2 assists in the first half of the WNBA season.

Reese is looking to add to her rookie resume on August 15, 8 p.m. ET when the Sky faces the Phoenix Mercury on the first game after the WNBA's Olympic break.
