The Chicago Bears could turn some heads in 2024.

Chicago took some positive steps forward in 2023 but still was unable to make the playoffs. The Bears went back to the drawing board this offseason and now realistically could be back in the postseason in 2024.

The Bears significantly improved the offense by drafting quarterback Caleb Williams and receiver Rome Odunze, acquiring superstar receiver Keenan Allen, and signing running back D'Andre Swift.

Chicago gave its offense a significant boost but the defense could still use some help. The Bears specifically could use another defensive end to help rush the quarterback and Bleacher Report suggested a reunion with Yannick Ngakoue.

"Add Now: Edge Yannick Ngakoue," Bleacher Report said. "The Bears could use another pass-rusher to play on the other side of Sweat, and Poles shouldn't have to look far to find one. Ngakoue played for the club last season and had four sacks in 13 games before ending the year with a broken ankle.

"The 29-year-old appears to be fully recovered, and it would be worth it to see what he can do in a third-down role while playing opposite Sweat for a full campaign."

Ngakoue appeared in just 13 games last year with the Bears but did have four sacks and started every game he played in. The one-time Pro Bowler somehow still is available in free agency. Maybe it would make sense to reunite?
