Jonathan Owens Shares Heartfelt Words About His Wife, Simone Biles, After Returning To Practice

Chicago Bears cornerback and husband of Simone Biles , Jonathan Owens, shared some extremely heartfelt words as he returned to practice Tuesday after Simone Biles finished up in Paris after an historic showing.

“My wife is a warrior; that's the one thing I tell people. I equate it to how we are in football. You’ll limp around; it’ll hurt a little bit right before, and as soon as you go, it’s like you forget about it. It’s just pain tolerance and the way she was able to go out there and, like I said, be graceful with everything.” Owens said.

Biles suffered a calf injury early on in the qualifiers, yet she still managed to compete through it and win three gold medals, a silver medal, and supplant herself as one of the greatest U.S. Olympians of all time.

“I was overjoyed for her. All of her accomplishments that she’s made. Just [her] being a face for all of gymnastics, man. She became the most decorated American gymnast ever, so it was just amazing that I was able to be there and witness that for her.” Owens added.

Owens was there through it all, supporting his wife, and Biles now has one of the most medals in United States gymnastics history between both men and women. An historic Olympian.
