Cross City under boil water notice
CROSS CITY, Fla. (WCJB) - Officials from the Cross City water system released a boil water notice for the entire town’s distribution system Wednesday morning. According to the press release, the town of Cross City’s water distribution system lost pressure around 9 p.m. due to a lightning storm damaging equipment at the water plant.

At their July 22 Regular Meeting, the Newberry City Commission adopted a proposed maximum property tax rate of 6.000 mills, 11.69% higher than the rolled-back rate and 1.69% higher than the current rate.
