PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) — A fireworks spectacle was seen all up and down the Peoria Riverfront last night, celebrating the Fourth of July. Up to 200,000 people showed up on both sides of the river to watch the Choose Greater Peoria Red, White and BOOM!, which promoters say ranks in the top 2% of Illinois fireworks shows.
Area road construction projects begin Monday
PEORIA, Ill. – Monday marks the start of the new work week and the start of road construction projects in and near Morton, East Peoria and Eureka. Pavement patching will begin Monday on the I-74 Morton Avenue overpass in Morton. Morton Avenue will be down to one lane in each direction through August.
