Suicidal Chesterfield Twp. teen located safe by police
The troubled teenager who ran away from Chesterfield Township police has been found and released to his family, police said Tuesday. Chesterfield Township police said the 15-year-old male fled on foot as officers were looking to conduct a welfare check on him Monday in the area of 23 Mile Road and DW Seaton Drive.
Ray Township voters to decide on fire station proposal
Ray Township voters will weigh in on the need for a new fire station during the Aug. 6 primary, as well vote in contested races for supervisor and trustee. The bond proposal asks voters if Ray Township shall borrow a sum not to exceed $5.5 million, and issue unlimited tax general obligation bonds in one or more series. These would be payable within 21 years from the date of issue.

Richmond Lions help clean aircraft displays at Selfridge museum
Nine volunteers from the Richmond Lions Club finished up their cleaning of a Korean War-era North American F-86A aircraft earlier this month at the Selfridge Military Air Museum at Selfridge Air National Guard Base. This is the 17th year that the club has participated in the museum’s Adopt-A-Plane program.
Port Huron to Mackinac Race comes to an end
Sailboats are crossing the finish line up at Mackinac Island as the 100th Bayview Mackinac Race begins to wind down. The race got off to a slow start, being delayed nearly two hours Saturday due to lack of wind on lower Lake Huron. Wind conditions changed later in the day, giving a boost to some of the larger and faster boats in the race. The first to cross the finish line was Wizard in Class A shortly after 1pm Sunday. The leader for much of the race was Maverick, who also won the Chicago to Mackinac Race, but had to withdraw due to a mast failure.

Multiple Wagoneers stolen from Warren Stamping Plant
WARREN, Mich. (FOX 2) - Thieves made off with around 10 Wagoneers from the Warren Stamping Plant early Monday. A group of thieves, possibly juveniles, smashed the fence at the plant with another vehicle at about 3 a.m. and made off with numerous vehicles. Two Wagoneers were recovered, police said.
