    Man killed in Cherokee County crash

    CHEROKEE COUNTY, Ala. (WIAT) – A Chipley, Fla. man is dead following a single-vehicle crash that occurred Sunday in Cherokee County, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports.

    The victim was identified as 49-year-old Paul E. Coker. The crash, which occurred on U.S. 278 near the 278 mile marker, resulted when the 2009 Suzuki VS800 motorcycle Coker was operating left the road and struck multiple trees.

    Coker was pronounced dead at the scene. Troopers with ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division are investigating the crash.
