Lawyer in Clarksville censured for practicing law after license was suspended
CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A local attorney has been publicly censured by the Tennessee Supreme Court for practicing law after her license was suspended. On Jan. 21, 2020, Colleen Ann Hyder’s license to practice law was suspended after failing to pay her 2019 professional privilege tax. On July 19, the court released a statement publicly censuring her for knowingly practicing law after her license had been suspended, according to a news release.

USWNT to face Iceland in first two post-Olympics matches
The U.S. women’s national team has announced a pair of October friendlies against Iceland, with a third match to be announced at a later date. The three games will be the team’s first after the Olympics, which kick off on Thursday with a match against Zambia. The USWNT will take on Iceland on October 24 at Q2 Stadium in Austin, Texas, before facing the same opponent on October 27 at Geodis Park in Nashville, Tennessee. Elizabethton awarded TDEC grant for remediation projects
CARTER COUNTY, Tenn. (WJHL) — The Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC) announced the City of Elizabethton will receive funds from a Brownfield Redevelopment Area Grant for remediation projects. Elizabethton’s was one of 36 grants awarded across Tennessee totaling $718,757 to help redevelop vacant or underutilized properties.
