TCMS collecting school supplies for kids
TIPP CITY — Tipp Monroe Community Services is collecting school supplies for children in Tipp City and Monroe Township from July 1 through Aug. 1. Book bags and school supplies are given out during the last two weeks of the Lunch On Us summer lunch program, said a Tipp Monroe Community Services. Several blue donation tubs are around Tipp City, including the TMCS office, Monroe Federal at both branches, Tipp City Public Library, and Zack Jacobs-State Farm Insurance. All donations are greatly appreciated.

PIQUA — Edison State Community College recognized outstanding employee performance during its spring All-College Celebrations meeting. Each semester, the College recognizes a faculty or adjunct faculty member and a staff member with an Employee of the Semester award. RISE FFA Career Program plants seeds for success
At the 96th Ohio FFA Convention in May, Sunrise Cooperative announced its 2024 class of new hires for the RISE FFA Career Program. Following an application and interview process, Sunrise hired 12 graduating seniors full-time. The program was developed to encourage employment with Sunrise Cooperative immediately following high school graduation. Sunrise is an agricultural and energy cooperative with locations across Ohio.
Urbana Lion’s Club Hears From Scholarship Recipients
The Urbana Lion’s Club welcomed three scholarship recipients to their weekly meeting on Wednesday. Tate Armstrong, Henry Harigan, and Paige Arnett are all 2024 graduates of Urbana High School. Armstrong will be attending the University of Findlay and studying Sports Business. He is unsure of what profession he would like to go into only knowing that he would like to work in sports.
