Jay W. Wethington, age 83, passed away at his home on Thursday, July 18, 2024. He was born in Owensboro on March 6, 1941 to the late William A. and Mary Frances Arnold Wethington. He was also preceded in death by his son, James William “Jimmy” Wethington; his wife, Mary Jean McGehee Wethington; and his brother, Larry Neal Marksberry.
Dust Bowl getting ready for 51st basketball tournament
The 51st annual Owensboro Dust Bowl will start Friday night with a festival atmosphere and some basketball at Kendall-Perkins Park. OH Mobile Clinic Opening
Owensboro Health is working to bridge a healthcare gap in Northern Kentucky by introducing a mobile health clinic. The mobile unit will be in Boulware Mission on the first Tuesday of each month, at the Owensboro-Daviess County Senior Center every third Tuesday and at New Life Church every third Thursday of the month. On the second Wednesday of the month, the mobile health clinic will be at Bill’s IGA in Hawesville and at Jumpin’ Jacks in Lewisport on the fourth Wednesday of the month.
