Student Section blows up at Rutgers Game

Piscataway, NJ (Rutgers Foootball App) - The line was literally out the door as all of the Rutgers incoming freshman class were lined up to get into SHI Stadium for the opening game against the Howard Bison. 90 minutes before kickoff, the studentes were in the student section ready for some football. "How about that student section" said Rutgers head football coach Greg Schiano at the post game press conference at the Hale center, "what a deal by our first year students, I have not seen the student section packed like that, it was before we went up".

Schiano was so excited for the program, he went over to the student section before heading to the locker room to provide a few raise the roof gestures to set the tone for the game. This was well received by the students who

"Usually I can make it to the game and student section from college ave quickly" says Rutgers junior Tyler Nordquist of Monroe, NY , "I have never seen it like this in my time here at Rutgers, took me an extra 40 minutes for the game today".

The post game was just as impressive with youth football programs from around the tri state area, who filled the far endzone stands with young players that were highly engaged with the action on the field until time expired on the scoreboard. The programs were welcomed on the field after the game to enjoy a 20 minute fireworks display that would rival any other presention at the jersey shore. Before the game the kids enjoyed one last summer night before school starts next week with the free rides and the games of the Rutgers boardwalk.

"I would like to see them all back next week for our 12 o'clock start" added Shiano
