Arlington, Texas (New York Yankees App) - Another rubber match of a three game series that the Yankess let slip away as they lost to the Texas Rangers 10-6 from Globe Life field on Wednesday night September 4, 2024. The Yankees played uninspiring baseball that you would see early in a season, not in the middle of a race to win the American league east.

Before the game Yankees could have had a mamba moment (Kobe Bryant), when they learned the Orioles had a suprising loss to the White Sox. The Yankees struggled against old friend Nathan Eovaldi, who was supported with a good offensive performance by Texas with 10 runs.

Yankees starting pitcher Marcus Stroman's struggles started early in the bottom of the first. Wyatt Langford, the hero from game two for the Rangers, hit a one-out single to right befors adavancing to second on another hit toright by Nathainiel Lowe. A grounder up the middle by Adolis Garcia scored Langford, giving the Rangers an early 1-0 lead. Stroman has allowed 15 first-inning runs in his 26 starts this season.

The Yankees will travel to Chicago to take on the the Cubs for a three game set from Wrigley field starting on Friday, September 6, 2024 with first pitch at 2:20 PM ET.
