Tiftarea Academy wraps annual youth softball camp
CHULA, GA – Earlier today, we took a trip to Chula as TiftArea Academy held its annual Youth Softball Camp, hoping to see if there were any future Panthers in attendance. Thursday morning was the final day of the four-day camp, which saw over 40 girls from first to eighth grade working with Lady Panthers players and coaches, current and former, on the basic fundamentals of softball: pitching, hitting, fielding, and base running.

A nonprofit nonpartisan watchdog group filed a lawsuit Friday charging the State Election Board with violating Georgia's Open Meetings Act after meeting last week without legally required public notice or a quorum.
