    Missing Chula Vista hiker found dead in Riverside County

    SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — A Chula Vista man who went missing during a hike in Riverside County was found dead Wednesday, authorities said.

    Hantae Kim, 61, was reported missing around 11 a.m. Sunday, Lt. Deirdre Vickers with Riverside County Sheriff’s Department told FOX 5/KUSI Tuesday. He was last seen in the area of Fuller Ridge Trailhead, which is part of the Pacific Crest Trail, off Black Mountain Road in Whitewater.

    However on Wednesday, Kim’s body was found in a ravine, located east off Fuller Ridge Trailhead and south of Snow Creek.

    There is no evidence of foul play at this time, Vickers confirmed.

    The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department conducted searches with a rescue helicopter, as well as search groups and other law enforcement agencies.
