Cincinnati mayors are well represented in Chicago for the Democratic National Convention.

While current Mayor Aftab Pureval is very visible, including a planned speech before the entire convention Wednesday night, former mayors John Cranley and Mark Mallory also made the trip to Chicago.

Mallory is a member of the Democratic National Committee and delegate. Mallory served as mayor from 2005 to 2013.

Cranley, who succeded Mallory as mayor, isn't a delegate but is at the convention. He mingled Monday afternoon with mayors at a "Taste of America's Cities" event organized by the Democratic American Mayors Association . The event allowed mayors to showcase products from their city. Current Mayor Aftab Pureval brought Graeter's ice cream and Rhinegeist beer.

Cranley also posted on Monday a photo of him and Pete Buttigieg, the former mayor of South Bend, Indiana and 2020 presidential candidate who serves as the Unites States secretary of transportation. The two served as mayors at the same time and are close friends.

"Great to connect with an old friend," Cranley tweeted on Monday with a picture of him and Buttigieg.
