The Ohio delegation nominated Vice President Kamala Harris on Tuesday to chants of "OH-IO" and the sound of Springfield native John Legend's "Green Light."

"Ohio knows how to make history," Ohio Democratic Party Chair Liz Walters said on the convention floor Tuesday. "We put a man on the moon, and we are the founding home of the AFL-CIO. We enshrined abortion rights in our state constitution by 13 points and we're going to send Sherrod Brown back to the U.S. Senate. As the first woman to lead the Ohio Democrats, I am proud to cast our ballot for the first woman president of the United States."

Democrats officially nominated Harris in a virtual roll call vote earlier in the month, but Tuesday represented the ceremonial vote.

What should be Ohio's walk-up song?

Ohio Democrats submitted a few options for their "walk-up" song, including Ohio's official rock song "Hang On Sloopy" and "Gold on the Ceiling" by The Black Keys.

But with so many Ohio musicians and bands, viewers at home were quick with alternative suggestions:

    • Akron-formed The Black Keys' “Gold on the Ceiling”
    • Dayton funk band Ohio Players' "O-H-I-O"
    • Canton R&B group O’Jays “Love Train"
    • Cleveland-born Tracy Chapman's "Talkin’ Bout a Revolution"
    • The Pretenders (main songwriter Chrissie Hynde is from Akron)
    • "Cleveland Rocks," though the songwriter Ian Hunter is British and it could polarize the rest of the state.
