Fifty West Brewing Co.'s Deerfield Township location hosts grand opening celebration

Fifty West Brewing Co. 's third location in Deerfield Township is hosting a grand opening celebration Saturday.

The brewery and taproom, previously slated for a spring 2024 opening , introduces the restaurant and beer garden at the mixed-used development District at Deerfield at 5224 District Park Drive as its first ground-up build.

Grand-opening festivities start at 10:30 a.m. Saturday with a 5K Fun Run in the beer garden before a ribbon cutting at 11 a.m. The rest of the day will offer family fun with an all-ages water balloon fight, live music, face painting, burger happy hour and more.

Similar to the brand's Burger Barn location on U.S. Route 50, the new space offers indoor and outdoor seating and serves burgers, hot dogs, milkshakes and beer. Customers will also be able to play on four outdoor sand volleyball courts and two pickleball courts.

"Deerfield Township provided a great opportunity to connect with families that would come to Fifty West but maybe we were a little bit too far to come on a regular basis," founder Bobby Slattery said in a release announcing the third location. "We kept hearing it over and over, 'When are you going to build a Fifty West closer to me?' I think that’s when we recognized what we’ve created was special and gave us the confidence to take this next step.”

Fifty West celebrated its 10-year anniversary last year and reopened its Brew Pub on Wooster Pike , which had been closed since 2020. The company also has a location in Chillicothe, Ohio.

The Deerfield location will be open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m.-11 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m.-9 p.m.
