Where Joe Burrow landed on The Washington Post's consensus NFL QB ranking

A new consensus ranking from The Washington Post listed the top quarterbacks in the NFL. And, to no one in Cincinnati's surprise, Joe Burrow is among the best in the league.

The Cincinnati Bengals quarterback ranked as the No. 4 QB on the list, edged out slightly by Baltimore Ravens star Lamar Jackson, the league's reigning MVP. Josh Allen of the Buffalo Bills snagged the No. 2 spot and Patrick Mahomes, the three-time Super Bowl champ and two-time MVP with the Kansas City Chiefs, ranked No. 1.

To determine the best, worst and most polarizing players, The Washington Post took quarterback rankings from eight different media outlets – Pro Football Reference, 33rd Team, Bleacher Nation, CBS Sports, Pro Football Network, The Athletic, ESPN and The Sporting News – and averaged them together.

Jacoby Brissett and Drake Maye for the New England Patriots – who were recently in a position battle before the team selected Brissett to become its starter Thursday – took the title of worst quarterbacks. The Las Vegas Raiders' Gardner Minshew was also among the worst in the game.

Topping the list for most polarizing were San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy and the Jacksonville Jaguars ' Trevor Lawrence.
