    W ildweed featured in Bon Appétit ahead of its July opening, exclusive beer release at Taste of Belgium, Black-owned eatery moves to Kenwood, and more.

    Wildweed Featured in Bon Appétit
    OTR pasta pop-up Wildweed , which opens its brick-and-mortar spot next month, was recently featured in Bon Appétit ’s list of “The 8 Must-Visit Restaurants to Try This Summer.” “After staging 225 pop-ups since 2019, David and Lydia Jackman’s roving operation is finally opening as a full-time restaurant,” says writer Kate Kassin. “As in the pop-up days, the focus will be on foraged foods—and, of course, pasta, which put Wildweed on the map.” The restaurant does not have a set opening date just yet, but this highly anticipated opening’s food is already on everyone’s lips (and tongues).

    Belgian Beer Flights at Taste of Belgium
    Taste of Belgium is now offering several exclusive beers from Chimay Brewery (Brasserie de Chimay), a historic brewery located at Scourmont Abbey, a Trappist monastery in Chimay, Belgium. Customers can try all five beers—Chimay Première, Chimay Grande Réserve, Chimay Cinq Cents, Chimay Dorée, and Chimay Cent Cinquante—on tap right now and through Sunday, July 21 (Belgian National Day), the Crestview Hills, Fields Ertel, and The Banks locations are offering a flight of the main four Chimay beers for $15.     Black-Owned Eatery Moves to Kenwood
    Formerly in the Element Eatery food hall in Madisonville, San Jeanetta’s Table recently opened a brick-and-mortar location at 7714 Montgomery Road in the Shoppes of Kenwood plaza. Husband-and-wife owners Dion and Tiffany Metts are offering expanded menu with upscale comfort fare such as blackened salmon, shrimp and grits, and chicken sandwiches. The restaurant’s grand opening celebration takes place 11 a.m. on July 13.

    Micro Brewpub Opens in West Chester
    Voodoo Brewing Co. opened its second location in Greater Cincinnati on June 27 in the former Mitchell’s Fish Market space at 9456 Waterfront Drive in West Chester. The brewpub, known for its eclectic offerings like the green sour ale Lacto-Kooler, will be from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays and from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.

    Northern Kentucky Distilleries Recognized
    Seven Northern Kentucky craft bourbon distilleries—Augusta Distillery (Augusta), Boone County Distilling Company (Independence), Neely Family Distillery (Sparta), New Riff Distilling (Newport), Old Pogue Distillery (Maysville), Pensive Distilling Co. (Newport), and Second Sight Spirits (Ludlow)—have been added to the world-famous Kentucky Bourbon Trail® as part of trail’s 25th anniversary celebration . The distilleries were previously part of the trail’s  ancillary Kentucky Bourbon Trail Craft Tour.

    Bengals Wide Receiver Sits Down with Asianati
    Asianti’s Samantha Burke recently interviewed second-year Bengals Wide Receiver Andrei Iosivas for the organization’s YouTube channel . Andrei talks about his Filipino-Romanian American heritage, growing up in Hawaii, and becoming a Cincinnati Bengal all while having a Kamayan meal (a distinctive Filipino communal feast presented on banana leaves).
