Shooting, car robbery outside South End bar leaves 1 injured

CHARLOTTE ( QUEEN CITY NEWS ) – An investigation is underway after a person was hospitalized in an apparent overnight shooting outside a bar near South End, Medic said Monday.

Emergency personnel responded to calls regarding the incident at the parking lot of Cloud South End around 1 a.m. near 1500 South Mint Street near South End.

A 22-year-old man was found suffering from gunshot wounds and was transported to an area medical center with serious injuries.

An initial investigation stated that the man had been shot by a suspect with a handgun who then stole his Chevy Camaro.

The case is being classified as an armed robbery and assault with a deadly weapon.

There is no mention of an arrest and this remains an active investigation.
