No matter how the rest of his Cincinnati Bengals career goes, Joe Burrow will always be an LSU football legend.

Burrow is an Ohio kid through and through, but the rest of the country learned his name when he was balling out in Louisiana. He's got a legacy in the Bayou that will never be tainted.

It's the one commonality he shares with superstar rap artist and Louisiana native Lil Wayne, and former LSU women's basketball player Flau'jae Johnson. That connection came in handy recently.

Johnson, who recently dropped an album herself, got on the track with Wayne and released "Came Out A Beast" this past Friday. Both her and Wayne each name-checked Burrow and his LSU success.

"I know that LSU and I be reppin' it like I'm Joe Burrow," was Johnson's lyric, while Wayne dropped "Reppin LSU like I'm Joe Burrow" in his feature.

This isn't the first time Burrow's name appeared in a rap song. Four years ago before he played a snap for Cincinnati, Jack Harlow's hit song "WHATS POPPIN" had Burrow's name in the very first verse.

"I'm in the pocket like Burrow," said Harlow in the track he released in 2020.

Burrow's name was has become fairly synonymous with pop culture ever since his meteoric rise to stardom during LSU's 2019 national championship run. Continuing to play well for the Bengals has only kept him in the spotlight, including trips to France for Vogue World Paris . He's even made an effort to promote his own image more than he's accustomed to doing.

"That's something that I've struggled with for my entire career," Burrow admitted last month . "I'm a pretty private person, and so I try to keep as much as I can to myself, but I'm starting to branch out a little bit and get a little more comfortable sharing other parts of my personality. So I'm just now starting to feel that process out, and this is really the first year that I felt comfortable sharing more sides of myself with the fans, I would say.

Burrow becoming more of an open person will help his brand, but the person and player he's always been was more than enough to earn respect from his peers. Not many players can say Lil Wayne name-checked them.

It certainly pays to bring home a Hesiman trophy and then a championship title.
