Between a calf injury and wrist surgery, Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow appeared in just 10 games last season. He could only standby and watch as the Bengals went 9-8 and missed the postseason.

However,Burrow, who signed a five-year $275 million contract extension in 2023, is looking to make a huge comeback this year.

During an appearance on " Pardon My Take, " the former No. 1 overall pick from the 2020 NFL Draft put the league on notice after being asked if people have forgotten about him.

"I believe that," Burrow answered. "That’s what happens when you get hurt, though. You don’t play football, people forget about you." But the 27-year-old is using that narrative as fuel.

"I love that spot I'm in right now," he said, before making a bold, confident statement on the upcoming season.

"If you’re not out there and people aren’t watching you, then there’s nothing to talk about. So, I’m going to give people something to talk about this year. I’m excited about it.”

When asked how he stacks up against other top quarterbacks in league, such as three time Super Bowl MVP, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, "Time will tell," Burrow answered.
