'No shave November came early': Cincinnati Mayor Pureval is growing a summer-break beard

Cincinnati Mayor Aftab Pureval is growing a beard.

While not exactly breaking news − and the beard is still in the early growth stages − Pureval is one of the most recognized public figures in Cincinnati. From his days as Hamilton County Clerk of Courts he's been known for his style.

So, at recent events residents have been doing a double take.

"No shave November came early," explained Pureval's chief of staff, Keizayla Fambro. "I think it's fun."

It comes when Cincinnati City Council, which the mayor presides over, is on summer break.

Former Cincinnati Mayor John Cranley tried out a beard in 2015, but the look didn't last long.

Joe Burrow changed his style too; he cut his hair

Pureval isn't alone in changing up his look this summer. Cincinnati Bengals Quarterback Joe Burrow showed up for summer camp this week having shaved his famous floppy brown locks. Burrow is now sporting a bleach-blond buzz cut that caught the attention of fans and created a social media flurry.
