Forty firefighters within the Cincinnati Fire Department responded to The Banks Sunday evening "for a report of heavy smoke in the area," according to a media statement from the CFD.
While en route fire investigators said they could see smoke coming from The Yard House, at 95 East Freedom Way at approximately 7:15 p.m.
On scene firefighters found a fire in the kitchen producing "heavy smoke" and additional flames coming through the restaurant's roof, CFD said in the statement.
Firefighters said everyone in the restaurant — staff and guests— self-evacuated the building safely.
CFD said it used an "aggressive interior attack" and took approximately 10 minutes to put out the flames.
No one was injured in the fire, CFD said.
According to the CFD statement, damage is estimated to be $150,000. The cause of the fire is accidental.
The Yard House is closed due to the fire and it is unclear when it will re-open for business.
